Lodging Info
The Tech Center has reserved a private room for you at the Sonesta Select Tempe Downtown which is in proximity to our hackathon venue at the SILC Learning Support Services in Durham Hall. Your lodging at Sonesta Select Tempe Downtown is covered by the Tech Center for the duration of the hackathon (arrival date March 27, departure date March 30).
The Sonesta Select Tempe Downtown is across the ASU campus and about 0.8 miles (a 17-minute walk) from the hackathon event venue at Durham Hall.
Hackathon participants who stay at a different hotel are not eligible for full or partial reimbursement for their lodging costs and risk forfeiture of their travel award.
Check-in & check-out
Participating students will be able to check in at 4:00 pm on March 27. A credit card and ID are required for check-in. Check-out time is at 11:00 am on March 30.

Participants are responsible for expenses such as incidentals or charges for any damages.

Transportation to/from the hotel (Sonesta Select Tempe Downtown)
The Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport is roughly five miles west of the ASU Tempe Campus. The following transportation options are available:
Valley Metro Rail
Valley Metro is the public transportation system for the Greater Phoenix Area. The Light Rail connects Tempe to Phoenix. Mill Ave. and 3rd St is the stop right in the heart of downtown Tempe. After getting off the train, it is about 0.4 mi/8 min. walk to the Sonesta hotel.
Uber, Lyft, Waymo
Rideshare services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for most providers. Sky Harbor maps and directions.
Taxi/Cabs
From Sky Harbor airport, cabs are best hired from the north side of Terminals 3 and 4.
