The free event shuttle departs on Friday and Saturday from the hotel lobby (porte cochère) at 7:30am; pickup time at Lane Stadium after the event is 5:15pm. Please keep an eye out for our graduate assistant Sherrie who will meet you in the hotel lobby on Friday morning.

Lodging info
The Tech Center has reserved a private room for you at the The Inn at Virginia Tech which is in proximity to our hackathon venue in Lane Stadium. Your lodging at The Inn at Virginia Tech is covered by the Tech Center for the duration of the hackathon (arrival date April 18, departure date April 21). Hackathon participants who stay at a different hotel are not eligible for full or partial reimbursement for their lodging costs and risk forfeiture of their travel award.
Check-in & check-out
Participating students will be able to check in at 4:00pm on April 18. A credit card and ID are required for check-in. Check-out time is at 11:00am on April 21.
Room policies
Participants are responsible for expenses such as incidentals or charges for any damages.
Getting around Blacksburg
The Inn at Virginia Tech is located on the north-west fringes of campus and about one mile (25-minute walk) from the hackathon event venue at Lane Stadium Club. Limited shuttle service between the hotel and Lane Stadium will be provided in the morning and evening of each event day.

ROANOKE-BLACKSBURG REGIONAL AIRPORT (ROA)
Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport is located about forty miles east of Virginia Tech.
ROANOKE AMTRAK STATION (RNK)
The Roanoke AMTRAK Station is located about 42 miles east of Virginia Tech. Select “Blacksburg, VA” as the destination on the Amtrak website and a Smart Way bus fare to/from the Virginia TechSquires Student Center stop will be included in the price of the ticket.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT BETWEEN ROANOKE & BLACKSBURG
The SmartWay Bus runs between Roanoke Airport, the Roanoke AMTRAK station and Blacksburg, VA. The bus stops at the Virginia Tech Squires Student Center. From there, it is about one mile to The Inn at Virginia Tech where lodging has been arranged for the group.
