Lodging info

The Tech Center has reserved a room block at the newly renovated and highly popular Ala Moana Hotel. Participants from Flagship programs have their lodging fully covered by the Tech Center for the duration of the PBLL Summer Institute (arrival August 3, departure August 11). Rooms are located in the Kona Tower (negotiated room rate $139/night plus taxes).

Please note: Flagship participants who stay at a different hotel will not be able to receive full or partial reimbursement for their lodging costs.

Adding rooms, upgrading, and/or extending your stay

Participants from Flagship programs who wish to reserve an additional room at the conference rate or upgrade to a larger room in the Waikiki Tower (negotiated room rate $154/night plus taxes) are responsible to pay for the cost difference.

To extend their stay in Hawaiʻi, participants in the PBLL Summer Institute may take advantage of the discounted rooms rates at the Ala Moana Hotel up to three nights preceding (July 31) and following (August 14) the Summer Institute at their own cost.

Please contact the Ala Moana Hotel Reservation Desk at (808) 955-4811 for upgrades, extensions, and inclusion of additional guests. A credit card will be required for upgrades and/or extensions.

NOTE: You will receive an email from the Tech Center once the Hotel Reservation Desk will be able to process requests for extensions and upgrades.

Room options

Kona Tower Rooms
All rooms feature a queen bed, bathtub/shower, complimentary WiFi, air conditioning, coffee maker, daily housekeeping, microwave oven, mini refrigerator, LCD TV with cable channels.

Waikiki Tower Rooms (upgrade)
All rooms feature the option of king, queen, or two double beds, balcony, bathtub/shower, complimentary WiFi, air conditioning, coffee maker, daily housekeeping, microwave oven, mini refrigerator, LCD TV with cable channels.

Waikiki Tower rooms are an upgrade ($154/night) from the standard Kona Tower rooms paid for by the Tech Center. Rooms in the Waikiki Tower can accommodate up to four guests. There is an additional $50 charge per night for the 3rd and 4th adult. No charge for children 17 and under. Guests will be charged for the difference in lodging costs.
