In this presentation, Mr. Ben-Taj, Academic Coordinator of the Arab American Language Institute in Morocco (AALIM),will talk about students’ professional development as part of the Arabic Flagship Capstone program. Focusing on the internships program, he will explain the different stages students go through to become professionals, starting with students’ professional language preparation, the selection of internships, and a follow-up with students throughout the program. The program aims to develop students’ professional capabilities by following project-based learning pedagogy, meaning the students are expected to work on a project related to their internship field. At the end of the semester, students present their project and internship experiences to a Moroccan audience consisting of professionals, scholars, and their colleagues.
